Apps and interface
The surfaces Happier gives you — the app, the desktop control panel, the CLI and the daemon — and the parts of the interface worth knowing about.
Happier is the same account and the same sessions everywhere. What changes is the surface you reach them through, and how much of the machine that surface can see.
Where Happier runs
- App — desktop, web and mobile. The one you will spend your time in.
- Desktop control panel — the desktop app doing the jobs that need a real machine: relay, daemon and secure-access setup.
- Windows — the behaviour and troubleshooting that only applies there.
- Custom mobile build — building your own app against a self-hosted server, without going through the stores.
From a terminal
- CLI — installing, signing in, and choosing which server you are talking to.
- CLI sessions — creating, listing, sending, resuming and attaching, all scriptable.
- Daemon — keeping remote control available with no terminal open.
Inside the interface
- Attachments and image previews
- Markdown and diagrams — how a transcript renders, and the editor for Markdown files.

What every surface shares
Whichever one you use, the control plane underneath is the same: the same account and server selection, the same catalog of actions an agent or a person can invoke, the same per-surface settings for those actions, and the same approval flow when an action is gated.
That is why an approval raised by a session on your laptop can be answered from your phone, and why voice and an external MCP host can drive the same actions the app exposes.
